Matthew 6:25-30, 33-34

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.

Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or stow away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lillies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

We all worry. The car payment is due, the rent is due, the cable bill is due. There is asbestos in the ceiling, and acid rain falling on the environment. There are 2000 asteroids out in space, any one of which could end life on this planet as we know it. Our children live in a world where they are challenged to do what's right everyday. And so it goes 24 hours a day on every channel around the globe; each day a new threat or social problem.

But have you heard the Good News?! God will take away all your burdens and all your worries. God wants us to be totally dependent on Him for all things. The lillies of the field toll not yet look how God provides for them. In the face of the greatest turmoil or attack God will provide a safe haven and an answer to your problems. Jesus diedon the cross for our sins. By simply accepting Him into your heart as Lord and Savior you can have a peace unlike anything you have ever experinced.

Have a good week. God Bless!
